According to the Editor David Ruddock from Android Police, Android O was expected to be released quite before but its release was delayed in order to provide bug-free experience to the users. The information provided by Evan Blass suggest that the release date and the official name of Android O will be revealed in the third week of August and most probably on August 21.

With the release of Android O comes many new features like Notification Dots which alerts users about the new content which has hit their device, Vitals which fastens the boot time.
